The idea of wine: Ciabot del Preve
But Giovanni had a vision. Born in 1886, he had worked as a cellarman in one of the most innovative wineries in the area, the Cantina Sociale di Monforte d’Alba, founded in the early 19th century by Monsignor Dall’Orto. After the Great War, the winery closed its doors due to the spread of phylloxera. In 1925 Giovanni moved to Castelletto, in Ciabot del Preve and, thanks to his previous experience, he began to produce wine.
